About Me

Jeremy Collier was born in Hayward, California at the age of 0 and has been writing just as long. Okay, that’s not quite true, but he has been telling stories for as long as he could talk, and writing them as soon as he learned his A, B, C’s. In High School, it was mostly poetry sold to friends so they could give it to a girl and say they wrote it, and in his 20’s it was mostly boring essays to get through college. It wasn’t until November 1st, 2011 that he started taking writing serious. In his first attempt at NaNoWriMo, as well as first time breaking 10k words, he wrote a complete 130, 000 word novel and proved to himself that he could actually do it. That novel, ladies and gentlemen, will be finally shown some respect in early 2016 when it is released.

His current works involve stories in two universes, Sinesol and Kahlima. “Sinesol is more like Steampunk-Sci-fi, as where Kahlima’s world is more Steampunk-Fantasy,” says Jeremy when asked about his worlds, which rarely happens, but he is prepared anyway!

And finally, he is the co-founder of Steam Powered Dreams, the amazing publishing company that houses such books as Sinesol: Burden and The Planet Without A Sun!

His goal in life is to become a full time author and, some day, write a novel or two with his yet-to-be-born-or-conceived children. If you see Jeremy on the street, be sure to ignore him, since you won’t recognize him anyway.

Patrick Rothfuss has quickly turned into one of my favorite authors of all time, and that's saying a lot! The way he wields the theoretical pen is amazing and very inspiring. His ability to make his characters come alive, even those that are only in the story for short periods of time, sets him apart from many other authors I've read. [ 587 more words ]

Note: Written in March of 2007 and inspired by all the babies I'd been around when I was young. It was a fiction writing assignment in school. It's pretty short and really simple, hope you enjoy! Let me know what you think by leaving a comment! In the smallest state in a small city in a small house, in a small crib lived a little baby boy named Nathan. [ 377 more words ]

Note: This story was written 10/26/04 and was inspired by a dream I had the night before. It was one of those stories that I sat down to write and next thing I knew, I had written five pages! While I was me in my dream and the girl resembled someone I knew, they are not really based on anyone in particular. [ 2,915 more words ]

Note: This was updated from a previously posted article I wrote to reflect changes in my thoughts. Awhile back I had a bad case of writer's block. In fact, it lasted for years. I went from writing every day to not writing anything more than an occasional blog post over on KVGT. Let me tell you, it doesn't feel good when you don't think you can do what you're passionate about or you feel that you're not good enough to put your work out there. [ 864 more words ]

Story Progress

While I have other upcoming projects, these are the three main ones I’m working on. Both Kahlima’s Secret Book 1 and Revelations Book 1 are written and in editing (Kahlima’s Secret is actually in a rewrite stage).

The untitled Sinesol Serial is about a type of being in the universe known as Mystics, more on that to come soon!

What each color means:

  • In Editing
  • Currently Writing
  • Outlining/Planning
  • Kahlima’s Secret Book 1 80%
  • Revelations Book 1 65%
  • Untitled Sinesol Serial 10%
